Our Diaper Skin Soother Plus is actually the sixth product from Emily Skin Soothers, Inc. The company was born shortly after our daughter Emily was born in March 2006. She was born with eczema and sensitive skin.
As an acupuncturist and herbalist with over a decade of experience, I wanted to avoid harsh medicines for my Emily if at all possible. I created simple herbal balms to help her. They worked so well on Emily that I began to use them on my patients and colleagues. They worked so well on them that we launched the company.
All of our products (now 4 balms, a bar soap and a liquid soap) are incredibly simple and powered by herbs. They are made with our own Emily in mind, and inspired by love. They never contain harsh or suspect ingredients. We make all of our products thinking of our own daughter and people like her with very sensitive skin.
Thus far ALL of our products have been rated a zero on a scale of 0-10 (from low to high risk for safety of ingredients) by the Cosmetic Safety Database. We are signers of the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics and also PETA’s Anti-Cruelty Campaign and never test on animals.
Our goal is always to create and offer safe and effective, lovely products that help people. We never tire of hearing when the products that we created have been helpful.
