Welcome to Emily Skin Soother’s Diaper Skin Soother Plus page. Our Diaper Skin Soother Plus is unlike any other diaper product available. It is not a thick goopy cream. It is a simple herbal balm to soothe diaper rash and other red, hot, angry skin conditions of many kinds.
Our products are incredibly simple and powered by herbs. They are made with our own daughter Emily in mind, and inspired by love. They never contain harsh or suspect ingredients. We make all of our products thinking of our own daughter and people like her with very sensitive skin.
Diaper rash is a form of skin inflammation. It is often red, hot, angry and uncomfortable. Most babies suffer from diaper rash at one time or another. There are many different causes. Diaper rash can be from rubbing or friction. Diaper rash can come from food sensitivities. Diaper rash can be from contact /allergic reactions to creams, wipes or diapers. People often think diaper rash comes from parent neglect, but that is rarely the cause. The irritated skin can also be infected by bacteria (Staph or Strep) or yeast (Candida).
We designed our Emily Diaper Skin Soother Plus with all of the causes above in mind. There are just 6 simple ingredients and it was formulated for people who read labels and have sensitive skin. It is gentle and unscented and here are ALL of the ingredients and their traditional indications1:
Beeswax: Is both a lubricant and a barrier. It has been used for thousands of years all over the world for its antiseptic and healing properties.
Organic Sunflower Oil: Is full of vitamin E for skin health. It is also known as a ‘barrier’ oil and acts like the body’s own protective oils.
Frankincense: Is often used in the treatment of injury and skin conditions as an analgesic, to reduce swelling, alleviate pain and promote healing.
Red Peony Root: Traditionally used to ‘clear heat; and cool. It is also used traditionally in injury for swelling and pain. It also demonstrates an inhibitory effect on certain bacteria.
Dictamnus Root Bark: Is a ‘bitter and cold’ herb used traditionally for extreme heat signs. It is used for sores, rashes, eczema and demonstrates an antifungal effect.
Phellodendron Bark: Is also a very bitter cold herb traditionally used for ‘damp-heat’ presentations in the genital /anal area. Traditionally it is described as an herb that ‘Drains heat from sores and lesions.’ It also demonstrates an antimicrobial and antifungal effect.

“OK, I am a believer... As a foster mom to over 60 babies, I have used every product on the market and all of the home remedies for diaper rash... Now that I have my own son, I was distressed to find that nothing I was using was working on a nasty rash he had... I tried everything, including switching to cloth diapers, and not only was it not getting better, some things were making it worse!
Poor little guy would literally claw at himself every time I changed his diaper... My husband brought home the new diaper rash cream, as we have been Emily fans for a long time, and I used it, though I admit I did not have much hope....
24 hours later and it is gone. Just gone. After the first application, I thought it looked better, and even more so after the next, but this AM when I changed his diaper, the skin was healed and just slightly pink.
AND, for the first time in two weeks, he did not scratch.... I am amazed, and so very grateful. I cannot imagine using anything else again, I am thrilled something NATURAL did what nothing else I tried could...
THANK YOU, Charity and baby Max....”

Diaper Soother 'Amazing' on Red, Raw Rash
“My 14 month old daughter developed a fungal rash in the diaper area. My pediatrician told me to try a few different kinds of diaper rash creams. A month went by and her rash was still red and raw. The pediatrician then told me to try gynolotrim which is an adult yeast infection cream. I decided I did not want to use that on my 14 month old. I told Mike from Emily Skin's Soothers about it and he told me to try the new Diaper Skin Soother. So I did. The fungal and rash was gone in two days and the redness was gone after 4 days. The Diaper Skin Soother was amazing! We will be using this for any and all diaper rash issues that may come up.”
